INAUGURATION OF THE JUBILEE YEAR
SECUNDERABAD, 3 MARCH 2020
It was a great and memorable day for us, the Sisters of St. Ann of Providence, to raise our hearts and minds to thank the Most Holy Trinity for all the blessings showed upon us throughout these past 150 years of our Presence in India.
We commerate with joy and thanksgiving, the day on which 6 Italian Missionaries have set their foot on our Indian soil, through the instrumentality of Msgn. Barbero and Blessed Mother Enrichetta.
Through their missionary zeal, hard labour and fidelity to the Indian Mission, have spread far and wide our presence in India, by means of Education, Medicare and Ministries of Compassion.
Holy Eucharistic Celebration at
St. Mary's Basilica, Secuderabad
The thanksgiving Eucharistic Celebration has been presided over by Most. Rev. Vijaya Kumara Rayaral, Bishop of Srikakulam, Msgn. Bernard Swarna and other Priests of the Diocese of Hyderabad. It was a great joy to witness many Sisters from 5 Provinces of India, including the Provincial Superiors, well wishers and the benefactors.
To commemorate the Jubilee Year, a tree has been planted by Most Rev. Vijaya Kumar Rayarala, Bishop of Srikakulam, Msgn. Bernard Swarna, and the Provincial Superiors of the 5 Indian Provinces.
