 First Profession of Vows

August 15, 2022


“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall 

exult in my God”.                                     (Is 61:10)

On August 15, 2022, the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the 75th Anniversary of our Country's Independence, the long-awaited day arrived for our six Novices from three Indian Provinces viz. Anusha Jinugu, Sumitra Shekhrappa (Central Province), Amalu Rose John, Seema Bara, Silchiana R. Marak (North Province) and Swathi Daram (East Province), to pronounce their first ‘YES’ to the Lord and commit their lives to His service. The theme chosen for this gracious occasion was “Inflamed by God’s love to enkindle Hope”. Fr. Thomas Santiagu SDB, Provincial Superior of the Hyderabad Salesian family, officiated at the Holy Eucharistic Celebration.

Present were our dearest Sr. Cicily Mathew, the Provincial Superior of Central India, Sr. Julia Victor Pais, the Provincial Superior of Northern India, Sr. Showrilu Kondaveeti, the Provincial Superior of Eastern India, Sisters from various Communities, Formees, LASA Representatives, and Young LASA.

18th August, 2022

The Province celebrated its First LASA Day on 18th of August 2022. The Nine Units of LASA at its feasible time came together to mark this memorable day. Thanks to the General Council for all its effort to bring all of us under one umbrella of the Annite Family.

The Members of these Units renewed their Promise to God the Almighty with full vigour and joy. A Hearty Congrats to you all!!! God Bless you all and may our Venerable Founders Carlo and Giulia bless you and your families from above.

Dearest Sr. Jesintha Mariappa,

Your Spiritual life was your strength that led the Province. Every Sister can say boldly you walk the talk, with sincerity and openness, firm conviction and determination, strong dedication and active participation.


Dearest Sr. Cicily Mathew,

We are grateful to God for the very person you are, shouldering the responsibility of Vice Provincial and Councillor for the Educative Mission of our Province. You have done your very best in the task entrusted to you, especially the Education Ministry. 


Dearest Sr. Marlene Thomas,

A unique personality, a great educationist, she has done commendable service in the field of education for years. You have dared to make a difference to the Province - inviting us to look towards new horizons and even beyond, by being Councillor for Compassionate Ministry and LASA. We appreciate you for the keen interest you have taken for the growth of LASA in our Province.

Dearest Sr. Sussy Raja Kumari,

We take note of every act you have done for the growth of our Province, for the welfare of the Sisters and the happiness of the Formees.  You always remain cheerful because of the quality time you spend with the Lord. You took keen interest in the spiritual growth of the Formees, the Juniors, and the Young Sisters by organising regular Recollections and Seminars etc.

Dearest Sr. Amala Chinnappa Reddy,

You are a charming personality, a caring and loving Sister, dedicated to the cause of Healing Ministry and an efficient and enthusiastic teacher by Profession. Health is a basic human right and the Healing Ministry is a divine mandate.  We thank you for all your services done for humanity.  Your availability and selfless service whenever there was a medical emergency, is commendable.

Dearest Sr. Reena Kallely,

You are a chosen vessel of God to be reliable, earnest, efficient and noble. During these years of your service to the Province you did your best to uphold the financial status of the Province. You were transparent, accountable, punctual and meticulous in maintaining the accounts. We could see in you a good planner, executor and an organizer.



Dearest Sr. Nirmala Mary Savari Raj,

You were prompt enough to send messages and mails. You were kind 

enough to give right information and ready to help Sisters whenever 

they needed. Your radiant smile made us comfortable to approach you. 

You are amiable, affectionate, able and an amazing person to interact 

with. Thank you for your efficient and worthy service to the Province 

as a Secretary.

Second Phase of the 9th Provincial Chapter 

02. 01. 2022 -Closing Day Ceremony 

The members of the Chapter gathered in the Chapter hall at 6.30 a.m  for the Eucharistic Adoration and to pray the prayer of the Church.  It is a special day  because  it the feast of Epiphany  but also the closing day of the 9th Provincial Chapter. The Assembly spent time in the presence of the Lord to thank Him for  the rich blessings and graces,  He had poured into our lives during the Chapter event.


Closing Ceremony - Prayer Service 

A meaningful prayer service was conducted by Sr. Marlene Thomas and Sr. Sussy Rajakumari led us to offer our praises and thanksgiving to the great King, Jesus Christ on the feast of Epiphany. He is the star who lights our path and guides us to   light the lives of people around us. The Capitulars carried the lamps as a sign of illumination received during the Chapter event in order to build a healthy family in our communities and thereby help the families in our mission.

Closing Ceremony - Holy Eucharistic Celebration by Most .Rev. Poola Antony, Archbishop, Hyderabad.
Each Capitulars carried a star as symbol of love to offer it to the greatest STAR Jesus Christ on the  feast day of Epiphany, a reminder of the gifts carried by the Three Wise Men to the Babe at Bethlehem.
